
Green Valley Industrial Park's Environmental Management Systems based on the Norm 14001-2004Green Valley Industrial Park initiates its certification ISO 14001 by obtaining its Environmental License (SERNA). A year later Green Valley Industrial Park takes the next step obtaining an environmental management system that allows controlling its activities and processes that could cause environmental impact. Some of the Management instruments are: • External and internal communication with clients, suppliers and employees by implementing news letters, training and others. • Construction work follow-up process where inspections are done and the technical and environmental requests are evaluated. • Solid waste management. • Reforestation and green areas maintenance. • Plantation of: Limba, Eucalyptus, Cedar, Mahogany, Macuelizo, Jacaranda, among others. The certification process initiates with the selection of the Argentinean consulting group DQS to audit the Environmental Management System which is in conformity with ISO 14001-04 NORM. In October 2009, a pre-evaluation was performed to subsequently initiate the Certification Audit from January 18 to January 22, 2010. Green Valley Industrial Park was certified in March 2010, by DQS which hands over a declaration that states Green Valley Industrial Park as an audit and certifiable company. In July 14, 2010, the certification is received in a special ceremony, which promotes environmental management in Latin America.
